These games are suitable for all levels of fitness, including both male and female colleagues. Mixed teams are encouraged for Dodgeball and Tenpin Bowling with the requirement of at least one or two female participants per team. Launching the Business Games, Chair of Communities and Wellbeing Committee Councillor Thomas Beckett said, "We invite local businesses to join us once again for this exciting challenge, embracing the perfect blend of fun and friendly competition. “The Business Games Challenge is a fantastic way to support the council’s goal of encouraging as many people as possible to get active together. With many of us finding ourselves spending more time indoors due to work commitments, this challenge encourages us to come together, stay active and prioritise our health and wellbeing. “The three evenings promise to be great fun with a few trophies up for grabs, including Cup and Plate winners at each stage of the competition. The ‘Games’ will then culminate with the crowning of the overall ‘Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Business Champion’ at the end of the three events. “I would encourage all businesses in the Lisburn and Castlereagh area to sign up today and enjoy great team events with your work colleagues.” Aaron Moffett, Commercial Manager, ASSA ABLOY added, “ASSA ABLOY is back and ready to reclaim the title of the 2024 'Business Games Champions’. The ‘Games’ not only provided our team with a fantastic opportunity to socialise outside the workplace but also kept us active and energised. I extend a friendly challenge to all businesses, sign up and let's see if you have what it takes to steal our hard-earned title.” To register a team, please email kevin.madden@lisburncastlereagh.gov.uk Pictured L-R- Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Community Sports Development Officer, Kevin Madden, Chair of Communities & Wellbeing Committee; Councillor Thomas Beckett and Aaron Moffett, Commercial Manager, ASSA ABLOY.
